Ary “Jimged” Sendy (l. 1978, Jakarta, Indonesia) lulus dari jurusan fotografi, Fakultas Film dan Televisi, Institut Kesenian Jakarta. Ia tertarik pada pola-pola konsumsi dalam kehidupan urban seturut dengan perubahan dunia yang cepat dan tak terelakkan. Jimged mencatat dan mengamati hal-hal ini dengan lensa-lensa keilmuan sosial, politik, geografi, dan sejarah. Ragam aksi perekaman gambar menubuh dalam praktik artistiknya. Dengan modal disiplin inilah ia membingkai
hasil pengamatannya dan menawarkan khazanah sudut pandang yang menggugat pemahaman kita akan konstelasi kuasa dalam ruang hidup kita hari ini.

Ary “Jimged” Sendy (b. 1978, Jakarta, Indonesia) graduated from Photography Program, Faculty of Film and Television, Jakarta Institute of Arts. He is interested to consumption patterns in urban life, in accordance with the rapid and inevitable world changes. Jimged noted and observed these things through social, political, geographic, and historical scientific lenses. A variety of image-recording actions is embodied in his artistic practice. With this disciplinary he framed the results of his observations and offered a viewpoint that demands our understanding of the power constellation in our living space today.
