Ardi Gunawan

​​Ardi Gunawan adalah seniman lintas disiplin yang tinggal dan bekerja di Jakarta dan juga Asisten Ahli di program Desain Komunikasi Visual, Universitas Pradita. Ia bekerja dengan berbagai macam medium, mulai dari lukisan, patung, instalasi berskala arsitektur, hingga video, dan desain panggung. Karya-karyanya telah dipamerkan secara luas antara lain di Objectifs (Singapura), Open Archive (AUS), Gertrude Contemporary (AUS), Galeri Nasional Indonesia (ID), Cemeti – Institute for Art and Society (ID), ARK Galerie (ID).

Ardi mendapatkan gelar MFA dari Monash University dengan beasiswa pada tahun 2009. Ia menerima hibah New Work dari Dewan Australia pada tahun 2011. Ia juga pernah berpartisipasi dalam program The Gertrude Studio di Gertrude Contemporary, Australia, pada 2008-2009.

Karyanya telah ditulis, ditampilkan, dan disebutkan dalam berbagai publikasi, termasuk: Place.Labour.Capital; Dissect Journal; Giramondo Publishing; New Museum/Art Asia Pacific; Sarasvati; The Age Australia; Jakarta Post; UnMagazine; and Art Monthly Australia.

Ardi Gunawan is a Jakarta based flexi-disciplinary artist and an Assistant Professor in the Visual Communication Design program at Pradita University.  He works across mediums ranging from painting, sculpture, architectural-scale installation, to video, and stage design. His artworks have been exhibited widely including at Objectifs (Singapore), Open Archive (AUS), Gertrude Contemporary (AUS), National Gallery of Indonesia (ID), Cemeti – Institute for Art and Society (ID), ARK Galerie (ID). 

Ardi was awarded an MFA from Monash University with a scholarship in 2009. He received a New Work grant from the Australia Council in 2011. He was also a former studio artist at Gertrude Contemporary, Australia, from 2008 – 2009.
